I've been photographing Emerson since before she was even technically conceived, so when mom Megan asked if cousin Kaden could come join some photos with his favorite gal, it was a no brainer. I've known Kaden for a couple years and how much he's grown up even in the short time I've known him is remarkable. He's such a little man now, whereas he seemed such a babe just last summer. I already can tell the same thing is going to happen with Emerson. We are going to blink a couple times and she's going to be off to her first day of school.
(Stop crying Megan, we will get through it together!)
If you thought Emerson had fun with Kaden, you should see her with Mom and Dad. Endless giggles, smiles, winks, and flirts when she is in the arms of her creators. It's really hard not to just melt like butter around this girl. Easy doesn't do this shoot justice. The leaves, the temperature, the tone of the day, the subjects- all prime for beautiful images all the way around.
We headed to our "Iconic Karle" spots and continued our morning. The foliage throughout the park was breathtaking, so the difficulty upon us was selecting just a couple locations to shoot, as Em had about 10 minutes of smiles left in her before nap time. Boom. The very first place I ever shot Em, almost exactly a year later. Megan and Em climbed through the tall grasses to the exact same spot as last year, and finally completed our first year of stage photos. Then I made Andrew climb in as well and I insisted we get at least a couple in front of the green door before calling it a day.
