Holy crow. Can I start this post by saying GOOD LORD this is so overdue! This past season has been the most amazing yet and I am going to spend the entire holiday very happily playing catch up... FOR NOW though, I am so thrilled to share Liz and Steve's Halloween wedding!
When Liz and her mom came into my office and they started to explain the idea for the day, I knew this was going to be the most unique wedding day I've photographed yet. As soon as I arrived to the venue, I also knew that my assumption was correct. The event was held at Riverside Gardens in Dayton Kentucky. What an unexpected surprise this little location was. Situated right on the Ohio River, the garden space and gazebos made for the most enchanting fall landscape. Now, this wedding was costumes encouraged... and boy did the guests not disappoint. Nearly everyone in attendance was in some sort of costume... even Grandma got in on the Halloween theme!
After the ceremony, they cut the cake with a battle ax, found Liz's garter with a 20 sided die (that Steve immediately rolled a 20 on), ate, drank, beer ponged and danced in a fog machine. These two are in for a long and fun life together. I hope someday I can crash a game night, because I want to hang out with these unique souls again soon!
